To evolve an eligible move, raise it to level 5, take its required stat card during the same run, then choose the golden evolution card. There are 59 evolution recipes in the checked source; the five buff moves do not evolve.
The three-part recipe
- Upgrade the base move to level 5. Learning a move is not the same as maxing it.
- Pick at least one copy of the required run-stat card. The order is flexible: you can take it before the move reaches level 5.
- At a subsequent level-up, select the golden evolution card. Evolution is a card choice, not an automatic species transformation.
Three recipes to learn first
| Base move | Required run stat | Evolved move |
|---|---|---|
| Ember | Attack (Potencia) | Fire Blast |
| Water Gun | Attack (Potencia) | Scald |
| Bubble | Speed (Carrera) | Surf |
Why has my move not evolved?
Check the exact stat requirement in the move finder. Attack, movement speed and cooldown reduction are different conditions; a useful but unrelated card does not count.
Next, confirm the stat was chosen in this run. The evolution check reads run stats, not the permanent upgrades you bought in the menu. Finally, check whether the move is already evolved or is one of the non-evolving buffs.
The five exceptions
Swords Dance, Agility, Harden, Aqua Ring and Dragon Dance are buffs without evolution recipes. They can support a build but should not be chased for a golden evolution card.
Our move finder includes all 64 base moves and keeps non-evolving moves visible. It checks a recipe only; it does not predict card RNG, modify your save or guarantee your run’s damage.
