The creator’s online FAQ says an account saves progress to the cloud and allows cross-device play, while guests can start immediately but their progress is not saved. Offline copies and independent forks have different save rules.
Three contexts, three expectations
| Where you play | Save expectation | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Official online account | Cloud progress | Use the same account across devices. |
| Official online guest | FAQ warns progress is not saved | Sign in before investing in a collection. |
| Creator’s offline download | Browser-local save; solo only | Keep the browser’s site data. |
| Independent forks | Host-specific implementation | Read that host’s own save policy. |
If your collection appears missing
- Confirm the domain. A save on a fork is not automatically an official-game save.
- Confirm you are using the same login method and account as before.
- Check your connection and reopen the game before making destructive changes.
- Do not clear cookies, localStorage or site data while diagnosing a browser-local save.
About account recovery
The original game’s current sign-in screen says linked Gmail can recover access through Google sign-in. It also warns that a forgotten password for an account that was never linked cannot be recovered that way. Follow the creator’s current account instructions; we cannot reset a game password.
Never send us your password or a recovery token. PokéSurvivor Run has no game-account system and does not read the embedded game’s cross-origin save.
A source discrepancy worth knowing
The repository documents browser-local storage and optional cloud configuration, while the deployed online FAQ specifically warns that guest progress is not saved. These describe different runtime contexts. For the live game, this guide follows its deployed FAQ rather than promising persistence based on a local fork.
